Donogh Rees

Donogh ReesDonogh Rees is an accomplished actor with more than 25 years of film, television, and theatre credits. After graduating from the prestigious Theatre Corporate Drama School, Donogh appeared in numerous theatre productions.

Theatre remains a love and Donogh has continued to perform on stage throughout her tenure at Shortland Street, most recently in Half Life,Doubt, The Graduate, 2007 The Farm, 2008 Te Karakia and Bone.

Donogh's film credits include the lead roles in Constance, Starship and Crush, for which she won Best Supporting Actress at the 1993 New Zealand Film and Television Awards. In addition to Shortland Street she has appeared in some of New Zealand's most popular television shows, including Marlin Bay, Plainclothes, Citylife, Hercules, Xena: Warrior Princess, and Fallout. Donogh has directed two plays; Stark in 1997 and the acclaimed Kindertransport in 1998.

Donogh is a member of Actors Equity’s Auckland Committee.
